This section explains the term "VRM" as used in VRoid Studio's dress-up feature.
VRM
A standard file format.
It handles humanoid characters and avatars.
Within the dress-up feature, VRM files are used as avatars.
Data edited within the dress-up feature, including XAvatar, XWear, XRoid, .vroid, and VRM files, can ultimately be exported as a single XAvatar.
The exported XAvatar file can then be uploaded to VRChat.

You can also export data edited within the dress-up feature, including XAvatar, XWear, XRoid, .vroid, and VRM files, as a single VRM.

Using a model in VRM-compatible software
The exported VRM file can be used in various VRM-compatible applications.
About VRM0.x and VRM1.0
There are two VRM standards: VRM0.x and VRM1.0.
VRM0.x
The original standard, released in 2018. Now deprecated.
VRM0.x files can still be used as avatars within the dress-up feature.
VRM 1.0
The new standard, released in 2022.
The updated VRM1.0 standard resolves the limitations and issues of VRM0.x, allowing for more expressive character modeling.
In the dress-up feature, VRM1.0 is supported as an avatar format and for VRM exports.
