Checking and backing up your data saving location
When you want to transfer your VRoid Studio data to another PC, you need to back up the data you want to transfer by using external storage such as a USB memory stick or a cloud service.
* The .vroid files that can be edited in VRoid Studio cannot be uploaded to VRoid Hub.
The data you create in VRoid Studio is stored in the following locations.
*.vroid files of the models you created
The "*.vroid" files in the "avatars" folder are the editable data of your models.
▼Windows
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\vroid\avatars
If you are using v0.8.3 or earlier, the *.vroid files may be stored in a different location.
▼Mac
/Users/<ユーザ名>/vroid/avatars/
もしくは
Finderで移動>ホーム>vroid\avatars
Hair presets
The folders in "hair_presets" are the hair preset data.
▼Windows
C:\Users\ユーザー名\AppData\LocalLow\pixiv\VRoidStudio\hair_presets
▼Mac
/Users/<ユーザ名>/Library/Application Support/com.Company.ProductName/hair_presets
* In the Finder on your Mac, choose "Go" > "Go to Folder" > Type the folder’s pathname.
How to restore data at the destination
VRoid Studio can only call up and edit the data saved in a specific folder.
Download the backup data from the external storage media or cloud service you used to the destination PC and save it to a folder with the same name as the locations listed above.
Note that the destination folder does not exist at first. Make sure to download VRoid Studio, launch it, and exit it, and then restore the data.
