In VRoid Studio, creating a hairstyle for your 3D model is as easy as painting an illustration.
Tools
Select Tool
Select a bundle of hair created with the brush tool or procedurally on the camera panel or on the Hair List to change its shape and color.
Brush Tool
You can draw hair directly on the guide mesh generated around the head.
Retouch Tool
You can modify the shape of bundles of hair created with the brush tool. Select the hair you want to fix with the select tool, then switch to the retouch tool. Trace the parts you'd like to fix and their shape will change/be overwritten according to the direction of the stroke. Also, if you stroke from the tip of the hair, you can extend its length. Please use this function when you're working with hair so long that they can't be modeled with a single stroke. This function is also useful for fine adjustments to a model's hairline.
You can also switch to the retouch tool by holding the R key while using the brush tool or the select tool. You can revert to the original tool by releasing the key.
Control Points
You can change the length and undulation of hair bundles.
Design
Preset
Apart from saving the whole model, you can also save single hairstyles as presets. Saved hairstyles can be used on other models.
