This article explains how to export avatars edited with VRoid Studio's dress-up feature as VRM files.
It also covers converting XAvatar format avatar data to VRM.

3. Export the model in VRM format
1. Launch VRoid Studio
First, launch VRoid Studio.
2. Open the model you want to use in VRChat with VRoid Studio's dress-up feature
Click on the dress-up feature tab at the top and select "Get started with the Dress-Up feature" or "Create New".
*If you have a model that you previously customized with the dress-up feature (XRoid) or created in VRoid Studio (.vroid), you can select it from "Recently Edited".
Click "Add Base Model" to open a file dialog.
Select the avatar data (XAvatar or .vroid) you want to export as VRM.
3. Export the model in VRM format
- Click on "Export VRM" in the upper right corner.
- Check the Options
You can adjust the texture quality and recommended options.
If you plan to use this for a mobile VRM app, please lower the texture quality.
For the recommended options, only make changes if you fully understand their purpose.
Once you’ve reviewed everything, click "Export."
- Make sure to review the Terms of Use of the original data.
- Enter VRM information.
*You can only export in VRM version 1.0.
If the XAvatar or XWear used includes license information, the system will automatically populate the item name, author, and license URL.
- Click "Export" and select where to save your file
Export times may vary depending on the model.
This completes the process of exporting your model as VRM.
