Thank you for using VRoid Hub.
This update introduces new display and visibility settings designed to help prevent unintended use of 3D models uploaded by creators, while supporting safer sharing options that better match each creator’s preferences.
As part of this update, we have also automatically changed the display settings for certain models with the usage condition “Allow third-party use (download): NO”.
Details are provided below.
■ Update details
1. Added the visibility setting “Followers only”
You can now make models visible only to followers of your VRoid Hub account.
*If a model is set to “Followers only”, it will not appear in search results. It will also be treated as private for people who do not follow your account, and will no longer appear on model list pages.
2. Added the display option “Logged-in users only”
A new setting has been added that limits access to 3D previews to people logged in to VRoid Hub.
*Model thumbnails will still appear on model list pages and search results for people who are not logged in.
*If someone who is not logged in accesses the model’s details page, only the configured Still Image (3D model not displayed) will be shown instead of the 3D preview. If they press the play button while logged out, a message will appear prompting them to log in.
3. Updated the display settings for models with the usage condition “Allow third-party use (download): NO”
As part of this update, and in order to help prevent unintended use of creators’ uploaded 3D models, we have automatically updated the settings of models matching the conditions below.
- Affected models
- Models that were previously set to 3D Preview (Public), and with the usage condition “Allow third-party use (download): NO”
- Changes
- The display settings for these models have been automatically changed to 3D Preview (Logged-in users only)
*No changes have been made to models with downloads enabled or models already set to Still Image (3D model not displayed). Even after this update, creators can manually switch the setting back to 3D Preview (Public) at any time.
■ How to check or change your settings
You can review and update your model settings using the following steps:
- Log in to VRoid Hub
- Select a model from “Your characters”
- Go to “Edit model data” > “Edit browsing settings” to update visibility and display settings
We will continue improving VRoid based on user feedback and requests.
Thank you for your continued support of VRoid.
